Sri Durga Malleswara Swamyvarla Devasthanam has launched an app for those relinquishing Bhavani Deeksha. Kanaka Durga temple Executive Officer K.S. Rama Rao said devotees can download the ‘Bhavani Deeksha 2024’ app from Google Play Store.
After download, click on ‘Register’ and enter phone number, date of birth, State, Aadhaar number, and address. When a devotee opens the app and enter their registered phone number, they will get a OTP (One-Time Password) on a WhatsApp group titled ‘Sri Durgamalleswara Swamy Devasthanam’ (not as an SMS). Enter the OTP, and the app will open.
The app provides access to 24 different services, including booking history, pooja procedures, holding points, circumambulation (giri pradakshina), darshan timings, transport, prasadam counters, first-aid centres, kalyanakatta, restrooms, shoe stands, emergency services, annadanam, special programmes, parking, bathing ghats, services for the disabled, complaints, assistance, location information, suggestions, live channels, police stations and promotional centres, he said.
By clicking on the relevant icon, the app will display a route map to the devotee’s destination, whether it is for annadanam, prasadam, darshan or any of the mentioned services. Additionally, the app lets one register the number of devotees coming on specific dates and times, he added.
